Winter Jackets

Matix Hoomat USA Jacket
Jackets are essential to survive the winter but finding one that you can skate in that works is actually quite hard. This jacket was the first to turn up here at HQ in a box from Revival Distribution and is the warmest you will find this time of the year. But making a jacket warm does not mean that it is the heaviest jacket on the shelf because otherwise you would not be able to skate in it whatsoever.

The Hoomat is warm because it is quilted but the overall weight of this jacket is far from heavy allowing you to skate freely and also just wear a t-shirt underneath to get by. The zipper goes all the way to the top keeping your neck warm and pockets are reasonable. The French dudes that designed and made this jacket could have easily dropped a large filler pocket in the inside left but instead went for the deep fill pocket that goes to the edge at the top of your armpit which comes in handy for music players. 2 front pockets are zipped for you to keep your hands warm and the beauty of the design of the jacket is that it is not over branded with big logo’s everywhere and colours come in camo, army green and stylish black that you can wear out after skating with ease. This is my personal choice of the year, it’s a great jacket. I recommend this 100%.
Retails at about £79.99.

Globe ‘Selector’ Jacket

Winter arrived late this year, but it’s here now and it’s as bad as every other year! With temperatures hitting all time lows, you’ll need something warm but not too heavy for a session if you’re hitting up the great outdoors.

This particular polyester hooded jacket is very suitable for such activities. It’s extremely lightweight, but warm at the same time. With a bonded mesh lined interior and it’s milky outer coating, you’ll be well protected against the wind chill factor without getting your Gershon Mosley on! It has 5 zipped pockets on the front and sports a nice stash pocket on the chest. You also have a tiny zipper under each arm which you can undo to allow refreshing ventilation whilst you’re working up sweat practicing your backside 360 backside smith-grind backside 360 out.

The jacket has a stylish, yet simple design and comes in plain colours, nothing to loud enough for the New Order crew. It’s a must on my list and I highly recommend this bad boy for the winter of 2006.

Hurley Biker Jacket

OK, this is not a jacket recommended for skateboarding but who said you have to skate in any of these products, it’s all clothing right? This jacket is a men’s heavyweight leather with a printed lining from Hurley. BTW, we were told the punk ass pin badge selection comes included. Nice touch.

Etnies Tilberg Jacket

Well, it looks warm doesn’t it? But I must admit I have never been a fan of the tight sleeves on jackets as I have never really had that snotty nose thing some people have and these sleeves always serve as a perfect spoon!

Anyway, I’m sure es don’t want us to make them sound like they make jackets for snotty nose kids so we shall let you know that the fur on this is obviously not real, it’s waterproof nylon with warm pockets lined with quilting that are snap packed. Looks good from the photo.

Hurley Ladies JD Jacket

OK, this jacket should look dope on any girl just as long as you keep off the floor at gigs ladies! This looks like the sort of jacket that would make some of our friends heads turn and are recommended for girls with tight units!

This ladies fitted distressed leather jacket (white only) includes sweater / rib detail cuffs and collar.

A must have for any lady who swings a leg over a chopper.www.hardcloud.com

Nikita Milestone Jacket

I’m not a girl, (well not the last time I looked) but I reckon this jacket would look pretty hot on most. It’s a jacket and vest combo so great for winter and spring with a snug hood and 2 deep pockets in the front with zippers for your gloves.

With a polyester inner, this jacket should keep that warm glow that every girl loves to sport. Check www.nikitaclothing.com for the full range and also some very cute girls modeling them or www.afour.co.uk for all UK stockists.
