Rochester Skate Park – help save it

February 1st, 2010 by Crossfire

There will be a benefit gig/jam at Unit One Skate Park in Rochester, Kent on Saturday February 13th, from 7pm until midnight. The skate park is run as a charity for kids giving them a safe and friendly venue for skateboarding and BMXing. The park has a five year lease from the local council but is under pressure and needs cash to continue.

Engineer bands Kyoto Drive, The Startover, SpeakYourHeart, My So Called Life, Call Off The Search and The Separation will all be playing and Engineer Records will have a stall giving away Cds to everyone who comes along to show their support. There will also be a skate comp before the show and 3rider TV will be filming the event too. There will be food and drink, but no alcohol. The show is supported by Big Cheese, Recharged Rock Radio and Maytes, entry is just £5 with all money going to the skate park so anyone in the South East area get down there and help save the park.

Here’s some footage from 2008 from the park featuring Mikey Patrick, Chris Ault and more….
