Juana Molina, fresh from her tour with Jose Gonzalez in the States, has gone straight into the studio to record some music with Devendra Banhart. These tracks are currently being mixed, so watch this space!

Finger Lickin’s turntable whizz-kid A-Skillz is bringing the fun with a party to celebrate the launch of his latest mix, Export 02, a The Old Queens Head in Islington on August 4th.
The Hedrons’ single Be My Friend is available for digital download at Measured Records digital store and will come in digital bundle format, which will include the acoustic version of I Need You. 
It seems odd to be attending a ‘festival’ in Hyde Park; where tower blocks replace the traditional festival surroundings of fields and farmland, and where a plethora of public transport is only five minutes’ walk away. Still, that’s London for you. By all accounts, the O2 Wireless festival – now in its second year – seems to have been a huge success, and has drawn a near-capacity crowd for its final day.

Mogwai have been busy lately. The group, who have 2 tracks on the Miami Vice soundtrack, have provided the soundtrack to “Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait“, the timely film about one of the greatest footballers [and headbutters] that has ever lived. Mogwai will release the soundtrack to this film as a download and vinyl release in September with the CD format coming out in October.
They launched their brand new skate company this year and already things are happening at a rate of knots with Mark Burrows, Colin Adam & Paul Rimmer doing as much damage in the public eye as possible.
