Bonnie Prince Billy is headed by Will Oldham, a songwriter known for his work with The Palace Brothers and many other projects fuelling the roster of the wonderful Domino Records for many years. These days Oldham is simply making masterpieces and if ‘Cursed Sleep’ is anything to go by then the new album that is on its way is going to be a beautiful discovery.
This lead single is graceful, starting with piano and string sections that will melt in your ears whilst his dusky voice delivers the final aural overdose. This folk number is music to anyones ears but there’s more beauty attachd to this record inside ‘The Signifying Wolf’ and ‘God’s Small Song’ – b-sides you will cherish forever.
The new album ‘Then The Letting Go’ will be a corker, make sure you don’t miss this first though, it’s out right now.
