Les Paul dies at 94

One of the most influential musicians to ever grace the music industry Les Paul has passed away aged 94. In 1952, he paved the way for rock and roll by developing one of the first solid-body electric guitars although it is said he was rocking his own one back in 1941, and he is also known for his crucial innovations in developing multi dubbing, overdubbing and the invention of the very first eight-track tape recorder.

Les unfortunately passed from complications of pneumonia in New York City and tributes to the star have been rolling in as the news breaks. Slash described him as “an exceptionally brilliant man” and his legend status will sit in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame forever.
