A young Frenchman spent many a night dreaming about ‘Back to the Future‘ and why he couldn’t ollie properly ( He even admits a slight penchant for fruit-booting!), when lightning struck and the concept of a Magnetic board became a reality.
Basically the 4size boards come with a pair of shoes that have permanent magnets placed within the soles. You can now leap and bound without the fear that the board won’t stick to your feet. It hasn’t been explained how the sticky board might flip, but we’re guessing the inventor never got that far before cheating a bit. In any case, with these now available, and rumours of Chinese hover boards, it won’t be long before Marty McFly gets that pro-model into the skateshops!

Vans have brought out a Descendents Shoe!
The band were one of the most unique punk bands to come out of California in the late 80’s releasing manby albums on the Cruz Record label. The classic Vans shoe has small Milo prints on them and hopefully will reach the UK soon.

Crossfire’s Californian correspondent Craig “Whitedog” Whitehouse has just recently been down to Mission Beach for 4th July celebrations where Creature pro rider Darren Navarette built a 10 ft wide, 8ft high vert ramp pretty much ON the beach.
He said “I was too drunk to skate, but Al Partenan, Omar Hassan and a bunch of other dudes were killing it! The ramp had PVC coping on it and was made of plywood.. like back in the old days.. fuckin’ sick!“
“The Dog” is now resting up in Hawaii on another trip with a bunch of riders, so expect a feature ion this very site in the near future.

It’s the summer holidays and skaters are born travelers. Here’s a couple of fine concrete specimens Crossfire has heard about on the old Continent.
The guys from Tyrol and Muckefuck skateboards got down in the muck for a 5-day 14 hour sessions of sand, gravel and cement mixing under the pouring rain of Wörgl, Austria. That’s dedication that you don’t see often! Check out the pictures here.
