Keep Keen – Official teaser #2

You may have seen many offcuts from this production so far on here but here’s the official 2nd teaser for Phil Harvey’s Keep Keen promo featuring John Bell, Ben Grove, Chris Barrett, Ben Rowles, Mitch Faber and Lewis Threadgold. Phil is currently planning trips to Milan, Barcelona and Berlin so that the release drops in August. Watch this space.

Girls Skate Jam Results

The 9th Annual Girls Skate Jam went down at Pioneer Skatepark this weekend. The event saw girls from all over the globe head to St Albans and get some serious shralping done. Here the results alongside a couple of photos from the event courtesy of Sophie Allen.

Walk the plank with Wasted Youth

If you were to aim your telescope towards the shores of Germany then you may just come across these here pirates who have stopped walking the plank and shoved some wheels on them instead. Formed from the flotsam that emerged after their own shipwreck, Wasted Youth have emerged as skate-and-destroy pirates ready to plunder, steal and get gnarly across Europe!

Adidas do Gran Canaria

The Adidas international team have spent the early days of their summer shredding the marble dreamscapes that make up the island of Gran Canaria. Chewy Cannon, Kurt Winter, Raul Navarro, Petr Horvat, Günes Özdogan and Klaus Bohms got out there and filmed this super feel-good edit. Get hyped on this and go have some fun in the sun.

Gran Canaria sure looks a whole lot nicer to skate than when I used to holiday there as a kid. Better add that to your ever-extending list of places to take your plank then…

This must be the time of year to finally turn those ams who’ve been killing it for years into pro riders. At the end of last week Real Skateboards announced that Chima Ferguson is their newest pro.

A well deserved bump up for the Australian who has been clocking up some serious footage for the upcoming Real project. His latest episode in Lost Days and Throwaways is up for viewing pleasure now. DC Vs Chemical Records

To celebrate the launch of a T-shirt collaboration between DC Shoes and Chemical Records the two companies are teaming together to throw a huge party in Bristol on the 17th July.

A promo featuring DC’s technical wizard from Bristol Dave Snaddon will be given an exclusive screening. The promo is filmed by Tim Crawley, fresh from filming Pritchard, Dykie and Leo’s run across the country, and is sure to be a banger.

They’ll also be music from the legendary Bad Company UK member dBridge, alongside sets from Data, Fantastic Mr Fox and Blue Daisy.

The party will be at Start The Bus, Bristol on the 17th July kicking off at 8PM. Entry is free and they’ll be DC goodies handed out on the night so don’t shun this!

Chaz Ortiz goes pro!

Selected for Zoo York by the late legend Harold Hunter, Chaz Ortiz has proven himself worthy of being bumped up to pro status this week.

Since joining Zoo York his visable dedication and super natural ability on the board has gone from strength to strength, earning him a cracking section in P-Rod’s Proof and the sickest Bangin! section to come from The Berrics this year.

The boards rocking his name should be in your local skater-owned-shop real soon.
