New Death Skateboards decks

New Death Skateboards decks are about to arrive into your local skater owned shop in time for the Christmas rush. They are celebrating 15 years of contributing much love to the world wide skateboard scene which has to be applauded considering there are so many pieces of wood with graphics on these days that you will forget about in 3 years time.

Their ’15 year skull’ deck is 8.1″ and comes with a graphic by DJ Ditchener. Coping destroyer Dave Allen has a new pro deck featuring Chris Bourke’s ‘Lydia’ graphic in 8.5″ and Dean Palmer is rocking the Jason Dowell graphic ‘Skull’ deck which is 8.1″ wide. Seek and destroy.

Crep Protect

crep-protect_skateboard-shoe_sprayIf you are one of those unlucky skaters who seems to pick up damp feet whilst skating in the winter you may want to consider a can of this stuff.

Crep Protect basically repels water and other liquids from a simple spray that covers every micro fibre of your shoes. Once the liquid touches the sprayed area it simply falls off and doesn’t get inside the fibres. I remember seeing another video similar to this product recently where you needed 2 cans of this sort of stuff to seal all kinds of materials from liquids and did wonder if it would work on bearings to stop water entering a wheel. Would it affect the grip of grip tape keeping it completely dry? Who knows, but if it was available, i’m sure it would be popular here in the UK if so.

Anyway, the ‘superhydrophobic’ layer from this particular product is said to last up to about 2 weeks (dependent on useage) and a can will set you back £9.95. Black Sheep are stocking it here. Watch a video from their own tests below.

Fourstar Anderson reversible military parka

Fourstar are throwing a solution into the ring of this year’s deep freeze with their Kenny Anderson signature military parka. Olive one side, black on the inside, this parka is fully reversible to suit your location and mood. It’s made up of quilting but don’t be thinking this is heavy like your bedding, it’s light as a feather and keeps the chill to a minimum.

Pocket wise there are loads of spaces to host your day to day stuff. The flat pockets at the waist are large enough to keep the removable fake fur hood stashed away and ample room as hand warmers. There’s a couple of smaller chest pockets and a utlity pocket placed on the sleeve too for stuff like iPods and oyster cards and plenty of room to move about in.

If you are looking for a winter jacket, Fourstar have a great option here that will set you back just over the £100 mark. Scout one out.
