A new film called All This Mayhem documenting the wild lives of the Pappas Brothers has been made and will be heading to a screening near you shortly.

Tas Pappas and his Brother Ben (RIP) were at the forefront of the Australian skate scene for many years until Ben passed away in 2007 following chaotic times. This film chronicles the brothers’ winding rise to number one and two in the world, touching upon their revolutionary styles, feuds with Tony Hawk, and ingestion of every mood-altering substance going.

Expect interviews with Henry Sanchez, Lance Conklin, Dom Kekich, Bill Weiss and many more alongside hand cam footage of the ups skating with the best, the downs from drug abuse, jail terms and everything else in between.

Imagine if you were outside a skateshop minding your own business and a stranger did this to you for no reason?

Thomas Hammer (uncanny name) was suspended from Cielo Vista Elementary School in Rancho Santa Margarita in the USA after this footage surfaced of him losing the plot on a skateboarder who was sessioning a curb. He took the kid’s deck, tried to throw it onto a balcony, and then appears to be ready to hit another kid with it. None of the skaters knew who he was.

The teacher returned back to school this week but kids are refusing to attend classes as a result of this madman. We don’t blame them.

Alan Glass has edited a bunch of offcuts of the Real team from their visit to the UK recently. Get stuck into more footage from the Real Crash Up Derby tour with US aficionado’s, Justin Brock, Davis Torgerson and Robbie Brockel, and UK crew Harry Lintell, Dylan Hughes and Jed Cullen from Brighton, Bristol, London and more.

The Coalatree Organics crew took a trip into the dry heat of Southern Utah to shred the winderness on offer and came back with a dusty edit from the canyons and spots found en route. Brian Delatorre, Jimmy Lannon, and Ryan Lay provide the skating.

Remember that $15,000.00 Gold Skateboard that appeared around April Fool’s day from Shut in NYC? The story of that one-off, bling-packed rig has been unleashed today in a new documentary revealing the process that it went through to completion. Knock yourself out.

Skate Pharmacy have welcomed Death pro Dan Cates to their shop team this morning. Owner and new Dad, (congrats!) Nic Powley, will tell you why:

“I have a huge respect for Dan as a skater and a human being so am proud that he now rides for our team. The guy’s been skating 27 years, pro for 13 years on Death and has an encyclopedic knowledge of skate spots and trivia. On top of that he’s travelled more than most men can dream of, he reckons about 60 countries so far with more to go. (China is the worst place he’s been in case you’re wondering).

In contradiction to his highly publicised fancy dress antics and general mishief Dan recently went back to Uni and is currently finishing up a degree in fine art. (which is why there’s no ‘Welcome to the Team’ edit with him dressed as a doctor skating a crutch which was our original plan) However he’s still Cates, so when I asked if he’d be up for designing a shop shirt I should have known it wouldn’t have been in keeping with our aesthetic!

So without further ado we present to you the limited run of Dan Cates ‘Boobs and Fish‘ t-shirts. Art or a major case of retardation? You decide.

Each shirt comes with a numbered/signed/handwritten note from Dan himself ‘For skateboarders only’. They go on sale 10am, Wednesday 20th May in-store and at skatepharmacy.co.uk. There are only 30 and once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Focus Skate Store in Edinburgh are working on a new Scottish scene video filmed and edited by Zander Ritchie.

‘Weather Permitting’ will have footage of various Scottish scene rippers from Colin Adam, Div Adam, John Rattray, Colin Kennedy, Mark Burrows, Adam Paris, Daniel Nicholas, Expedition One pro Tom Remillard, plus many more from all over Scotland.
