Rhymesayers heavyweights Eyedea & Abilities are back!

The duo, who haven’t played a live show in almost 3 years, will reform for the Twin Cities 6th Annual Celebration of Hip Hop in Minneapolis. The event, which brings together the local community for 3 days, will also see Doomtree, Naughty By Nature and the Chosen Few performing.

Ministry will be calling it a day after their latest album.

The album, The Last Sucker, will be out on September 18th and on his plans to retire the band, Jourgensen said:

“I’ve got a lot of side-projects and new projects I want to focus on. We have our our own label, 13th Planet Records, we’re building, and I want to sign, produce and collaborate with other artists. Being in the studio writing, recording and collaborating is my favorite part of this snake-oil industry. I’d rather be behind the console than behind the mic. Plus, I kinda like the synchronicity of Dubya and Ministry riding off into the sunset hand in hand.”

Shai Hulud have announced a European tour for later this year which will stop off for some UK dates.

The band will have Dead Hearts and Winds Of Plague as their support, the dates are below. They are also expected to drop their new album early in 2008 through Metal Blade.

Van Halen are due to reunite for an America tour according to reports.

The band have announced a 50-date tour and are set to be fronted by David Lee Roth, their first tour together in over 20 years.

In addition the band have promised to make an “announcement of monumental proportions” this coming Monday. Hold on to your tight jeans, this could be interesting…

Marilyn Manson will tour arenas in the UK with Turbonegro as support.

The tour will showcase tracks from his new album Eat Me, Drink Me after having co-headlined a North America tour with Slayer. He will also be releasing the single Putting Holes In Happiness on September 3rd. The dates for the UK are:

Amy Winehouse is to follow in the footsteps of Metallica, Paul McCartney and Red Hot Chili Peppers and will feature in The Simpsons sometime next year.

A show ‘source’ explained: “Amy is huge in America right now. She was asked if she would consider making an appearance on the show and she agreed. Apparently she is a big fan. There aren’t many details about the episode yet, but we do know she meets Lisa in a blues bar and teaches her how to sing.”

We should see the beehive rivaling Marge’s hairdo next year, that is if she manages to turn up…
