The Used play new Garage

So apparently the Highbury Garage is to be renamed Relentless Garage after everyone’s favourite energy drink. But this means it must be re-opening soon, right?

Yes, over a year and a half after we were first led to believe it was going to be hosting gigs again, it seems they’ve started booking shows once more and one of the first on the cards is The Used on 5th August. That’ll be a sweaty one then. Or maybe they’ve installed air conditioning in the refurb. Here’s hoping…

Dandy Warhols support legalisation of cannabis

The Dandy Warhols are making a stand this month, playing an support of cannabis being legalized in the US.

The Portland indie veterans will be playing at the Playboy Mansion in LA on June 4th along with David J of Bauhaus and various other performers as part of a fundraiser in aid of the Marijuana Policy Project.

Dandy Warhols frontman Courtney Taylor-Taylor said “We have a lot of stoners in our ban so to have marijuana still be illegal is ridiculous. As a recreational chemical it’s a lot less dangerous than alcohol. There are a lot of countries where it’s perfectly legal and they get along better than America.
