Website TMZ broke the news after Jackson was rushed to a local medical centre and was pronounced DOA. Lo-fi Wichita punksters Lovvers have announced details of a new single and new album.
Having recently toured the US with Yeah Yeah Yeah’s and played SXSW, they stopped off in the capital of indie cool, Portland, to record their debut long player ‘OCD Go Go Go Girls‘ and will release it on August 10th.
They’ll also be releasing a new single called ‘OCD Go Go Girls‘ (that’s one less ‘go’!), but in the mean time, here’s a sneaky peek of what to expect on the new record – a brand new track called ‘AXTXTXIXTXUXDXE‘:
Deftones have gone back to the studio re-record their new album Eros.
The album had been recorded before bass player Chi Cheng was involved in a car accident that left him in a coma. The band wrote on their MySpace blog that the recording “doesn’t best encompass and represent who we are currently as people and as musicians”. Former Quicksand bassist Sergio Vega has been playing with the band since Cheng’s accident.
Enter Shikari have announced details of a 17-date UK and Irish tour to take place this October.

TV On The Radio’s Kyp Malone has announced that he will release his debut solo album this autumn.
The singer and guitarist is calling the project Rain Machine and will be putting the album out on Anti- Records. Speaking about the album he said:
“I’ve been writing and recording songs alone since I moved to NYC in 2000, at first alone because I didn’t know anyone, then through the years by choice because of a particular freedom that going it alone afforded.”
He also said the material would be “a nearly full spectrum of frequencies audible to the human ear”
