Fucked Up to record Christmas single

Fucked Up are going to re-record the famous charity song Do They Know It’s Christmas?

The Canadian band have drafted in members of others bands to help out, including Vampire Weekend, TV On The Radio, Broken Social Scene, the GZA, Bob Mould, No Age, and Yo La Tengo according to frontman Pink Eyes. He added that they wanted one of the Jonas Brothers to be added to the line-up.

Proceeds are set to go to charities such as Justice For The Missing.

Details of new M.I.A. album revealed

Diplo has revealed details of the new M.I.A. album.

The producer, who is currently working with Rolo Tomassi, has revealed he is one of a number of producers working on the record, including Switch. He’s described the record as “Gucci Mane meets Animals Collective” which sounds interesting to say the least!

Earache to release 4-DVD set

Earache Records have announced they will release Death Metal Live on November 30th.

The set contains four original DVDs combined together in a custom sleeve for just £6.99. The four DVDs which are contained in the sleeve are:

Deicide – When London Burns
Carcass – Wake Up And Smell The… Carcass
Napalm Death – The DVD
Decapitated – Live At The Rescue Rooms

That equates to over 100 tracks and seven hours of music, including documentaries and videos. Make sure you pick up your copy here.

Manchester Orchestra are currently on tour with Biffy Clyro in the UK and they’ve just unveiled the brand new video for forthcoming single ‘Shake It Out’!

Flip’s Extremely Sorry album stream

Check out a full album stream of the forthcoming soundtrack to Flip’s ‘Extremely Sorry’ which will be released on 7th December.

To say the line-up of this original soundtrack is eclectic is an understatement.featuring the likes of Lemmy from Motorhead and Dave Lombardo from Slayer covering ‘Stand By Me’, as well as appearances from Warren G and Snoop Dogg, the album is produced by DJ Baron and is set to be released by Volcom Entertainment.

It was created in clos collaboration with the skaters appearing on the ‘Extremely Sorry’ DVD release.
