GWAR team up with Altamont

GWAR have teamed up with Altamont for a t-shirt series.

The move makes Altamont the first ever brand to work with GWAR and as you can see by the photo to the right, it’s got them down to a tee [geddit?].

Inspired by the band’s “sci-fi/horror inspired costumes, obscene lyrics and graphic, politically-themed stage performances”, there are three designs: Gig, Pit and Scumdogs [pictured].

Last December, Altamont creative mastermind, FOS, interviewed GWAR lead singer Oderus Urungus, check it out below.

The Black Sabbath reunion news wasn’t true

The news of Black Sabbath reforming yesterday was unfortunately bullshit. A statement from guitarist Tony Iommi was released last night to put the fire out from the flames that drifted around the web yesterday due to a whistle blowing journalist from Birmingham.

I’m saddened that a Birmingham journalist whom I trusted has chosen this point in time to take a conversation we had back in June and make it sound like we spoke yesterday about a Black Sabbath reunion. At the time I was supporting the Home of Metal exhibition and was merely speculating, shooting the breeze, on something all of us get asked constantly, “Are you getting back together? Thanks to the internet it’s gone round the world as some sort of official statement on my part, absolute nonsense. I hope he’s enjoyed his moment of glory, he won’t have another at my expense. To my old pals, Ozzy, Geezer and Bill, sorry about this, I should have known better.” – All the best, Tony

Original Black Sabbath line-up to reunite

Black Sabbath will return with their original line-up for a tour and new album.

Tony Iommi told local press in Birmingham that he and Ozzy had written new material in June, adding:

“We’re really looking forward to it and I think the stuff we’ve been writing is really good…It’s more back to the old original stuff…It’s all been very hush-hush. Ozzy’s been the worst at trying to hold it back. He’s doing a lot of TV and he’s being asked stuff about a reunion and he’s going, ‘Well, I never say never.’ He told me, ‘I don’t know what to say.”

Bill Ward, who recently had an operation, is the only member not 100% simply due to health problems but everyone is hoping he’s able to be a part of the reunion. It’s the first time this line-up has toured since 2005 and the album will be their first since 1978.
