Pretty Girls Make Graves

Seattle’s Pretty Girls Make Graves are back with a new album called Elan Vital. The material on the album has been road tested to great responses whilst on tour with Bloc Party, Franz Ferdinand and Death Cab For Cutie and the second single for the album, Pyrite Pedestal, will be available for download on July 5th.

The group are also touring the UK in July and the dates are:

Ramones Musical Hits London!

The remaining member of The Ramones is to star in a music based on the group’s songs. The musical, called Gabba Gabba Hey – A Punk Rock Musical, is to be performed at KOKO from July 31st to August 5th.

Some of the tracks included are Beat On The Brat, I Wanna Be Sedated and Blitzkrieg Bop, and the only surviving Ramone, Tommy, will perform every night. Some guests have been lined up also, including Angela Bowie, Hugh Cornwell and Nick Sheppard, formerly of the Clash.

Outkast Announce New Single

Outkast have announced the first single to be taken from their upcoming Idlewild album, which is due for release on August 21st. The single, called Mighty-O is going to come out on August 7th.

This album will be back to Outkast’s two members working together, as opposed to their last album, Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, which was 2 solo albums put together.

In addition to the album, the duo will be putting out their first film, also entitled Idlewild, which will be released in September.

Reznor On Hip Hop Album!

Def Jux head honcho El-P’s new album I’ll Sleep When You’re Dead will host guest spots from The Mars Volta and Trent Reznor, according the man himself. Updating his blog on myspace, El said:

“Trent Reznor and The Mars Volta both are on my upcoming album “I’ll Sleep When You’re Dead”. The joint with Reznor is getting mixed right now. Its called “Flyentology“. The joint with Volta is still getting structured. I have about 4 songs to finish and thats a wrap. Can’t wait to drop this fuckin shit.”

Slayer‘s new album has been given the title Christ Illusion, and is due to be unleashed onto the public on August 8th this year. Some song titles include:

Frontman and bassist Tom Araya said of the new album:
