In other Fucked Up news, their “mixtape volume 2” is available at the Deranged Records online store. It’s around an hour long and features unreleased songs, alternate vocal tracks, live versions, cover songs and live interviews. It’s a cassette-only release and features exclusive tracks from the likes of Brutal Knights, Mind Eraser and Cold World.
Friction Records has announced it will be putting out a vinyl pressing of Right Now You’re In The Best Of Hands, the debut record from Bear vs Shark, in January next year.
MF Doom has always been one of the most prolific rappers out there in terms of sheer numbers of releases and 2007 looks set to continue that trend. To start with, his classic Operation: Doomsday record will be re-issued by Rhymesayers, as it had been forced out-of-print due to remoured sample clearance. The new edition is thought to be in a deluxe digipack with additional tracks and a DVD featuring both live footage and videos. A re-issue for the also-pulled MM…Food is being planned too.
