Mark Ronson has been confirmed for this year’s V Festival.
The multi-talented producer/DJ, who recently saw both his single and album hit the number 2 spot, will be joined on the bill by The Killers, Foo Fighters, Larrikin Love and more for the festival in Chelmsford on August 18-19th.
The new single from Warp’s !!!, Must Be The Moon, is out on 14th May and the video for it has just been released. The single comes with remixes from Hot Chip and Emperor Machine and cant be purchased on download or 12″.
Pearl Jam are set to bring out a seven-disc collection of live tracks.
The package will contain 76 songs and will be titled Live At The Gorge 05/06 and has a June release date. The tracks are taken from shows from September 2005 to July 2006 and can be pre-ordered from the Pearl Jam website.
In other news, the band are set to play Wembley Arena on June 18th.

The track, Free Time, comes from their upcoming album, due in June, called Reggae Hit LA.

A Bush apologist in America has described Rage Against The Machine fans as “loser” and Sean Hannity has suggested the band should be investigated by the secret service.

The Beastie Boys have given out more details about their upcoming new album.
The Mix-Up is scheduled for a June release and will be totally sample-free with no vocals whatsoever according to reports. The album will feature the trio on drums, guitar and bass with keyboard player and honourary Beastie Boy Money Mark joining them. Of the new album, Mike D said:
“But as different as [it] might be from To The 5 Boroughs, it’s equally different from instrumental songs we’ve done before, like the ones that were on The In Sound From Way Out! That was kind of one direction and this one [has] different influences, like Public Image Ltd., Gang of Four, the Slits, Killing Joke.”
