Epitaph sign Our Last Night

Epitaph have announced a new signing – Our Last Night.

The New Hampshire based screamo outfit are planning to release their debut album, produced by Steve Evetts, next spring. The five piece have released two EPs – We’ve Been Holding Back and Building Cities From Scratch, and were invited to the label by owner Brett Gurewitz who said:

“From the very first note of the demo I was blown away by the sophistication of their writing and the technical playing which belies their young age…Add to that the control and range of Matt’s stellar singing voice and I was sold.”

Finch reform

Something to warm your hearts on this frosty day… San Diego emo/screamo upstarts Finch have patched up their differences to reform, and are due to play their first show on Thanksgiving.

The band initially split in Feb 2006, just months after the release of their much anticipated but ultimately disappointing second album. Following the split frontman Nate Barcalow went on to form Cosmonaut, and brings bandmates Drew Margoliese and Daniel Wonacott on drums and bass respectively to the reunited Finch, replacing Marc Allen and Derek Doherty.

Speaking to Alternative Press Alex Linares assured fans that this wasn’t just a one off gig, and they’d be finch for ‘more than just one night!’. UK fans will have to wait and hope that Finch make it back over to our shores..
