Tyler, The Creator: ‘Wolf’ Movie Teaser

Tyler The CreatorHead honcho of rap collective OFWGKTA, Tyler, The Creator has dropped a preview of what appears to be a full length movie. Wolf is the first full length project Tyler has undertaken aside an array of music videos for his rap collective, Odd Future.

Directed by ‘Wolf Haley’ – Tyler’s go to pseudonym when practicing the cinematic arts – the short clip below offers an insight to the film, ever the enigma, he hasn’t exactly revealed a release date yet. Lemonheads re-issues incoming

LemonheadsFire Records will be reissuing Lemonheads’ first three albums in October.

Hate Your Friends (1987), Creator (1988) and Lick (1989) showcase the band’s early roots in punk rock and how this paved the way to them becoming such an influential band in indie rock. Each album reissue will come with added extra tracks from a variety of sessions, radio appearances and rare EPs.

Below is a sampler put together in spirit of this re-issue, capturing the song writing partnership between Evan Dando and Ben Deily who formed the band when they were both still in school. Crafting their songwriting skills as brothers in arms, these three albums demonstrate how Lemonheads evolved from punk to pop.

Lemonheads reissues will be available from October 7th.

Nirvana’s Sub Pop contract posted online

It’s been a crazy Nirvana week. Firstly Dave Grohl reminisced the unheard demo’s on the forthcoming ‘In Utero’ 20th Anniversary boxset on XFM, Krist Novoselic did the same, you can find those streams below.

Producer Steve Albini then dropped a completely open recollection of how In Utero was recorded, slagged off the ‘Parasites’ that gave the album bad reviews and refused to discuss anything to do with Courtney Love. You can hear that here. It’s a killer interview. Sub Pop also posted their original contract with the band as you can see above. $600 well spent as they say.

To end this 3 days of Nirvana goodness, Anton Corbijn’s ‘director’s cut’ of ‘Heart Shaped Box‘ has just been released for the very first time to the web. Seedy, dark and desperately relevant, it certainly takes you back some.
