A tribute to Seaweed

Engineer Records will be releasing A Tribute To Seaweed.

The record is out now online and will hit the shops on June 24th and will feature tracks by the Washington band who began releasing music on their own Leopard Gecko label in 1989. The CD will come with a video of the band playing Sit In Glass in Houston in 1992. The tracklisting is:

Ice Cube plays one off UK show

Ice Cube will be playing one show in the UK this summer.

The former N.W.A. man will be hitting the Electric Ballroom in London on July 14th, his first show in this country since 2006. Tickets are available now, so hip hop to it.

Reuben go on indefinite hiatus

Reuben have gone on indefinite hiatus.

A message was posted on the band’s website stating that they band would not record music or play any gigs in the foreseeable future. Though no reasons were given for the split, the message said that the group remain on amicable terms and all supported the need to bring an end to the band.

FunkNStein hit London

Israeli band Funk’N’Stein are hitting London for two shows.

The group, performing with an eight piece band, will be playing their shows at the Pigalle in London on Friday June 6th and Sunday June 8th. It’s a rare chance to see them, so head over there or face missing out for quite a while.

A7X to release new single

Avenged Sevenfold will release their new single in July.

Dear God will be released as a limited edition single and will also feature the track A Little Piece Of Heaven. The CD version will also feature an alternate version of Afterlife. The band will be heading over to the UK to support Iron Maiden at Twickenham Stadium on July 5th before coming back in August for Leeds and Reading.
