The Datsuns are to release their fourth album, Head Stunts, on Monday 6th October.

Leading single, Human Error, is to precede the album on the 29th September and will be available as a limited edition 7″ vinyl, as well as a digital bundle.

Dolf de Borst, frontman of the band explains that the album is “about mind games and self-doubt. “Head Stunts” is an anagram of The Datsuns!…We were aware of it all along but we didn’t want to make it too obvious. We got a new member of the band on drums, Ben Cole, so it was like making our first record again, with new influences and new abilities. With a new person, we were able to feed off each other in different ways. We had the same ideas, but we flipped them around, just like you do with an anagram. When you have somebody new in the band you can try different ideas that may not have clicked before.”

Dr. Dre‘s son, Andre Young Jr, has died at the age of 20.

Named after his father, Andre was discovered by his mother at home at 10am on the morning of August 23rd. The cause of his death remains unknown and is reported to not be determined for another eight weeks.

Dr. Dre had been set to release his comeback, and rumoured last solo album, ‘Detox‘, later this year.

TV On The Radio have announced that their new album, ‘Dear Science‘, is due out on 23rd September.

Following 2006’s ‘Return to Cookie Mountain‘, ‘Dear Science‘ will be the band’s second album released on a major label.

Skrein and Dr Syntax, compounding together to create a dynamic duo, Skreintax, will be releasing their first single from their hotly anticipated album, Scene Stealers this October.

Breathe draws inspiration from soulful jazz that hark back to better memories of summer; with the additon of Foreign Beggar Dr Syntax and heavily lauded Skrein encrusting their wordsmith gems all over those solid beats, not to mention a chorus being belted out by Graziella; this tune is guaranteed to be BIG. Snoop Dogg will be unveiling a brand new line of clothing, entitled ‘Rich & Infamous‘, this week in Las Vegas.

The line will be showcased at the Magic Fashion Trade show in Sin City.

Madlib is back with a brand new LP, ‘W.L.I.B. AM. King of the Wigflip‘, the final installment in the Beat Generation series.

After Kerouac, Ginsberg and William S. Burroughs left many restless and metabolically starving for more with their drug-fuelled literature classics, BBE Records revived the Beat Generation with a series of records that embraced diversity within hip-hop.

Following in the footsteps of Jazzy Jeff, Pete Rock and J Dilla: Madlib is set to close the Beat Generation series with his new collection of – unsurprisingly eclectic – beats and rhymes, featuring contributions from Murs and Defari amongst others.

We’ve always loved videos that walk that edge where people don’t quite feel ok with it. ‘Smack My Bitch Up’, ‘Rabbit In Your Headlights’, ‘Closer’, ’99 Problems’… fuck, anything Chris Cunningham’s ever done for that matter…Personally, I don’t feel like this video comes close to those videos but it does have this certain indie film vibe to it that I really love. We really hope that by doing these videos on shoestrings, we can grow into making the kind of videos that we grew up idolizing. – InnerPartySystem.
