The Jesus Lizard have reformed.

The band will return briefly in 2009 with their original line up of David Yow, Duane Denison, David Wm. Sims and Mac McNeilly for a small number of shows, starting with ATP’s The Fans Strike Back on May 9th and 10th.

To celebrate this momentous event, Touch and Go Records will reissue four full-length releases from the Jesus Lizard in May 2009. Remastered recordings of /Head/, /Goat/, /Liar/, and /Down/ will be available on both LP and CD, all with expanded packaging and liner notes.

Battlejam have announced their Christmas line-up.

Relentless Energy has announced the unveiline of The REV – The Relentless Energy Visualiser.

The REV is a software application that uses the latest data visualisation technology, taking an audio input and converting it into visuals, modified in real life. The live music version takes a feed from a microphone or a sound desk and reacts to what the band are performing on stage via venue screens, enhancing the audiences experience. The second version, available on i-Tunes to Mac and PC users, can be played over playlists.

Pendulum are closing the year with a UK tour two competitions on their official site, The Other Side, which will allow lucky fans to get up close and personal with their favourite band.

The first competition is a Photo Pass competition which will see fans enter a Q&A style competition, with the winner getting a pair of tickets and one photo pass for a gig of their choice on the tour. The second competition is a Photo Submission competition with fans being given the chance to upload their own Pendulum related photos on The Other Side.

A shortlist will then be drawn up and voted on with the winning photo being made into a limited edition print to be sold exclusively on the store at www.pendulum.com.
