Stone Temple Pilots announce new album

Stone Temple Pilots have revealed details of their comeback record, their first since 2001’s Shangri-La Dee Da.

Having reformed back in 2008 the band’s as yet untitled new record will be released on May 24th.

The record was produced by the band’s Dean and Robert DeLeo and features the following tracks;

Brooklyn’s A Place to Bury Strangers have announced details of a new EP and UK tour.

The 5 track EP, Ego Death, will be released digitally on May 24th, and will also be for sale on 12” vinyl at the following shows;

Arctic Monkeys to play one-off ‘Humbug’ show

Arctic Monkeys are set to play a one-off performance of their latest album Humbug, and its related B-sides.

The show will take place in London at Shepherd’s Bush Empire this Sunday (March 28th).

Tickets will be available exclusively to UK members of the band’s website.

MGMT stream new album

Brooklyn’s MGMT have streamed their new album.

Congratulations was leaked online and the band have made it streamable for everyone on their website. They wrote the following on the site alongside it:

“Hey everybody, the album leaked, and we wanted you to be able to hear it from us. We wanted to offer it as a free download but that didn’t make sense to anyone but us.”

Broken Social Scene expand UK tour

Canadian indie collective Broken Social Scene have added further dates to their upcoming UK tour.

The band had already announced a string of dates in May, but will now play dates in June to support their new record.

The album, entitled, Forgiveness Rock Record, will be released on May 3rd.

The Dead Weather announce new LP details

The Dead Weather have revealed that the title of their new record will be Sea of Cowards.

Although initially the band had planned for an April release, reports suggest the album will now be released on May 7th.

Sea of Cowards will be preceded by a new single, Die by the Drop; although no release date for this has been confirmed as yet.

Gorillaz announce London dates

Gorillaz will play two nights at the Camden Roundhouse next month, featuring an all-star line-up of guests.

These rare appearances from the animated band will take place on April 29th and 30th, with tickets available from Friday.

Guests confirmed to appear at the shows include Mos Def, Gruff Rhys, De La Soul, Kano, Bashy, Shaun Ryder, Bobby Womack as well as The Clash’s Mick Jones and Paul Simonon.

Dominique Young’s new video!

Dominique Young has released her new video.

The 18 year old, who was introduced to producer David Alexander by Yo Majesty’s Shunda K, filmed the video in Soho and Bardens Boudoir when she was over at the end of 2009. Her new EP, Blaster, is due out in May 2010 and this track is taken from it. It’s called Show My Ass, what else do you need to know?

Bring me the Horizon back in the studio

Sheffield metallers Bring Me the Horizon have begun writing their third full length studio album, the band have revealed.

The record will be the follow up to their 2008 record, Suicide Season, and will be once again produced by Frederik Nordström.

The as yet untitled record is scheduled for an August release.
