Flip’s Geoff Rowley has left Ricta Wheels after year’s of loyal service and will now be shredding OJ Wheels from today. Ricta announced last week that they have signed Brandon Westgate who will have a pro wheel out soon.

The journey from mini rippers to skateboard competition machines is documented in this new film that is about to drop on iTunes next week. The Motivation covers the story of Malto, P-Rod, Cole, Houston, Ortiz, Sheckler and more at Street League level and essentially makes the competetiveness of skateboarding at jock level a hideous sight. Expect family pressures, injuries, money, fame and their own internal struggles of dealing with not being number 1.
This should make for interesting and very cringeworthy viewing.

Natas Kaupas On Video 1993
If you have an urge to look back into the incredible world of one of skateboarding’s finest, get stuck into the ON Video magazine production of Natas Kaupas this week. His innovation helped change skateboarding for the better and left a legacy for all of us skating today.
This documentary was released back in the Winter of 2003 and is worth every minute of your time. Bookmark it for the weekend if it’s too long to watch in a lunch hour.
Irish film maker Phil Evans has made a new documentary featuring Malmö’s ever growing skateboard scene and the concrete poured out there called Coping Mechanism.
Talking about the video project backed by Malmö City Council Evans says that the film: “showcases the unique and amazing situation that the skate scene has pioneered for itself, and despite the scene growing in its accessibility it has managed to retain its integrity without becoming diluted or lame. I believe other skate scenes around the world could learn a lot from this.”
The film includes footage of Hallén, Will Taylor, John Dahlquist, Dave Toms, Daniel Grönwall, Daniel Hakansson, Oskar Rozenberg Hallberg, Fernando Bramsmark, Gustav Eden, Jacke Ovgren and many more.
