Pontus Alv has unleashed another beast today in “Trocadéro Days” featuring footage of himself with Harry Lintell, Jerome Campbell, Roman Gonzales, Kevin Rodrigues, Vincent Touzery, Paul Grund enjoying jump ramp sessions, wallies and wallrides around Paris.
Skateistan have released their very first selection of decks with Zero Skateboards this week. All of these deck graphics are relative to the fight to end war in Kabul, Afghanistan where skateboarders are at risk amongst the rest of the public on a daily basis from the endless voilence that has plagued their country for years. The Vans team rolled into London’s Southbank on Tuesday afternoon for a couple of hours in front of those in in the know who caught word of their arrival to watch them destroy the banks and 7-Set. With a deep crew consisting of Geoff Rowley, Chris Pfanner, Dustin Dollin, Chima Ferguson, Daniel Lutheran, Johnny Layton, Kris Vile, Nassim Guammaz and Sam Partaix the results were more than incredible. Remember 6 months ago that fashion designer twonk Jeremy Scott blatantly ripped off Jim Phillips’ artwork without consultation or respect to one of skateboarding’s most legendary skateboard graphics illustrators? Well, it seems as though Mr Scott released a statement ahead of Fashion Week saying:
“I regret that certain pieces of my February 2013 Fall Winter fashion line incorporated imagery that was similar to images owned by NHS and Messrs. Phillips. I now recognize my mistake and out of respect to their work and their rights, the clothing and handbags at issue will not be produced or distributed.”
Case closed, but after 6 months of legal bullshit and at a guess, some serious money spent, this rip-off merchant finally admits to a heinous crime against skateboarding. Keep shit fashion fads out of skateboarding as eventually it will kill it dead once these types of idiots have rinsed it.
