The fashion world saw a new skateboard design launch this week as the Casely Hayford and H by Harris quilted leather skateboard hit stores. I have no idea why someone would want to make something that you can’t actually use but that’s fashion right?! Whoever can find out the price of this ‘limited edition collectors’ piece, please let us know for a belly laugh top up.

John Schmersal and Jim Putnam talk Vertical Scratchers

If you want a sneak look into a future Album of the Week then delve into the world of Vertical Scratchers. This incredible new band are made up of John Schmersal whose work with Enon and Brainiac should be enough for the best music CV of all time, but he has linked up with Christian Beaulieu (ex-Triclops!/Anywhere) to put together arguably the best duo of all time.

‘Daughter of Everything’ is released by Merge on February 25th and is a contender of the best album of the year, just you wait. Until then, get inside of this project from this new video where Jim Putnam from Radar Brothers chats to John about music. Get hyped. It really is that good.

Oh, and a new track was released today too.

If you are about to discover the Lemonheads for the first time here then lucky you. They were an incredible band who kicked out the the punk in the late 80s on their arrival and then slowed their sound down to such a perfect chill over a space of time in 90s and mesmerized ears worldwide.

Re-mastered and ready for much needed re-issue’s, the Lemonheads first three albums (1987), Creator (1988) and Lick (1989) are available on deluxe vinyl via Fire Records including ‘A Circle of One’ from ‘Lick’. This new video that has footage recorded between 1986 and ’89 was shot in Ben Deily and Evan Dando’s back yard and street, and has a cameo from Husker-Du co-founder Grant Hart.
