This weeks marks what would have been John Lennon’s 70th birthday. This will be a simple post to pay our respect to one of music’s most important and beloved figures, containing two videos. A clip for Norwegian Wood (The Bird Has Flown) and Nick Trapasso’s section in And Now, which was set to one of Lennon’s finest songs.
As previously reported, Animal Collective’s Avey Tare will be releasing the crocodile inspired album Down There on October 25th through Paw Tracks. Unsurprisingly, the first video to come from the album to accompany ‘Lucky 1’ is like diving head first into a croc-infested geometric visual pool of goodness.
Directed by Avey Tare’s sister, Abby Portner, you can watch the video below.
Bobby Conn’s massively acclaimed record ‘Rise Up!’ has been scheduled for a remastered re-issue release on November 29th.

He will play at the following dates:
27th Nov 2010 UK London – Windmill Brixton
28th Nov 2010 UK Leeds – Brudenell Social Club
29th Nov 2010 UK Glasgow – The Arches
30th Nov 2010 UK Cardiff – CLWB for Bach
Normally we tend not to publish news on the happenings over at The Berrics unless it’s something very special indeed. This is one of those moments.
Ronnie Creager has landed himself a Bangin’ this week and it’s phenomenal. This man has been ahead of everyone since forever and your day will be a lot better if you watch his minute of wonder.
UK’s very own Darran Nolan, one of few to earn a PHD in Tech has commanded that we appoint Creager ‘King Of The Internet’ and we’re inclined to agree.
Yoan Taillandier has been making progress with his new skate video ‘Minuit‘ and the teasers so far look absolutely incredible.
Filmed entirely at night, ‘Minuit’ takes it to the heart of the streets in France and Japan for the best idea for a skate video I’ve heard of in a long, long time.
Watch the exciting new trailer below and click here for more information.
The second video edit to come from the appointed filmbots John Fisher and Nick Richards has just been uploaded to the Tubes.
It follows from where their stunning first edit left off documenting Crayon’s August trip across Wheelscape parks in the UK. Here we see Chris Jones, Dan Wileman, Korahn Gayle, Paul ‘Barber’ Cooper, James Coyle, Welsh Tommy (and guest skaters Nicky Howells and Barney Page) hit up Uckfield, Bristol, Havering and Teignmouth.
Notoriously loud two-piece Middle Class Rut are due to release their long awaited debut album in the UK on November 22nd through Bright Antenna Records.
The single ‘New Low‘ precedes the album on November 15th and you can watch the video for it right here below.
