The singer is currently on her solo album tour in America but the rest of the band have said that won’t stop them going into the studio. Adrian Young of the band said that the three musicians will lay down songs with music only and then Gwen will be laying vocals down when she’s done with her tour.

The record is expected to be ready for release in 2008.

Crossfire storms Download Festival!

Crossfire took Download Festival at Castle Donington by storm on Friday and Saturday night with killer sets from Enter Shikari, Gallows and our resident Crossfire DJs Zac Slack and the legendary James Sherry.

The Duracell Powerhouse tent was bursting at the seams by eleven, hundreds of metal fans rocking out, with classic metal hitting the airwaves on day one. Following their triumphant set on the Dimebag Darrell stage that evening, trance/rock upstarts Enter Shikari took to the decks around midnight on Friday, with fans packed into the tent, the crowds going mad for Slayer, Refused, Rage Against The Machine and even Madness!

Glo-sticks and mosh pits, head banging and raving all came together in a night that kicked everyone’s arse. Crowds spilt out into the pathway, everyone plastered in Crossfire stickers and partying like there was no tomorrow. Shikari’s 30 minute set went out the window, and 2 hours later, they were still rocking out to Slayer, with this live version of the ‘Heavy Shit Show‘.

Crossfire and Enter Shikari took partying to a whole new level….and then handed the gauntlet to Gallows for the live None More Punk show on Saturday night. The Crossfire Sound System was on 11 as Gallows destroyed the tent with their choices for a crowd of over 2000 people who just went nuts for 4 hours. who didn’t disappoint and tore the entire festival a new one.

Expect more in the very near future…

New Throwdown track out!

Throwdown have posted a new song up from their upcoming album.

Venom & Tears is due for release in early August and the track taken from it, which you can check out by clicking the link at the bottom is called Holy Roller. Frontman Dave Peters said:

“We kinda went back to our roots as far as what got us into playing music, rather than sticking to what got us into hardcore…When we wrote Haymaker (2003) that’s about as bare bones and raw as it gets, add four years later of playing and touring together to that and we’ve developed quite a ways with influences, execution and fuck it we’ll play a solo if we want to too.”
