Yeah, VBS have already done an Epicly Later’d with Jason Dill, but they’ve decided to do another one.
Part 1 of a four part series charting the history of Dill as he came up from being an unknown skate-rat to the oddball buttery smooth skateboarder he is now, is playing on VBS right now.
And the chap has got his teeth fixed up, so check out his new grill, and his bloody covered room. You think we’re joking…

It’s fair to say that the genre known as Grindcore is without doubt the most extreme, obscene and damn right ear shattering off-shoot splintering of metal and punk to ever emerge from the dingy depths of the underground music scene.
And here we have ‘Grind Your Mind‘ – a definitive and utterly comprehensive CD collection that covers every aspect of grind from it’s roots in early UK crust and peace-punk ‘ala Discharge, Civilised Society to the eighties UK hardcore explosion of Napalm Death, Extreme Noise Terror, Ripcord, Sore Throat etc, to the more technical pre-death metal blasts of Repulsion and Terrorizer.
Better still, ‘Grind Your Mind‘ brings us bang up to date with newer acts like Pig Destroyer, Regurgitate and Mistress showing doubters just how far the extremities of the genre can be taken.
This is some serious heavy shit. 72 two tracks of grunting mayhem spread over two discs of parent baiting noise. When I first discovered the joys of Napalm Death and Cryptic Slaughter etc as a teenager in my bedroom I vividly recall the look on my mum’s face as she opened my bedroom door and said ‘what the hell are you listening to in here? Is that supposed to be music or are you actually killing people in here?‘. ‘No mum,’ I replied. ‘I’m not killing anyone, I’m just having a listen to Anal Blast and their new album ‘Suck The Shit Off My Dick!‘
That track’s on this CD. It’s great. This whole cd is sick. Buy one for your emo friends.
Photo’s of the recent Toy Machine Tour in the UK have been blogged over at Thrasher Magazines online zine.
With rumours of friction between filmers and photographers to kickstart this tour, the happy family eventually got on with the job and let loose as there’s no point getting your bollocks in a twist about these things is there?.

Amy Winehouse is to follow in the footsteps of Metallica, Paul McCartney and Red Hot Chili Peppers and will feature in The Simpsons sometime next year.
A show ‘source’ explained: “Amy is huge in America right now. She was asked if she would consider making an appearance on the show and she agreed. Apparently she is a big fan. There aren’t many details about the episode yet, but we do know she meets Lisa in a blues bar and teaches her how to sing.”
We should see the beehive rivaling Marge’s hairdo next year, that is if she manages to turn up…
Yes, The Simpsons, Americas answer to wit. Just made a 90 minutes long episode they’re selling as a “movie”, they let you know that within the opening sequence; add some expensive new graphic software, Bart’s “doodle”, microscopic controversy, some political yarn and you have yourself a Simpsons Movie.
I did wonder how long it would take before the creators decided to attempt this historic milestone, and I think they’ve managed to get the timing just right, after the immediacy of the “war” and before the collapse of the o-zone layer. The Simpsons Movie is exactly what you want from The Simpsons; humourous, sly, rude and lovingly warm-hearted. Considering The Simpsons Movie is making the same jokes, mocking the same things and people its still if not more clear than ever that this accident-prone, magnet for trouble, five-some of nutters really do belong together. And Homer puts it perfectly when he says, in an uncommon second of poignant honesty, “I’ve really come to like you guys.”
There are some brilliant parts; an encounter between Homer and a large breasted medicine woman in the desolate snowy wilderness of Alaska (they’re home after they leave Springfield). And after hours and hours of watching hundreds and hundreds of episodes of The Simpson on rubbishy TV screens, suddenly seeing Springfield on a cinema screen, you get a buzz of excitement as it pans through the almost realistic animated town.
Obviously The Simpsons Movie is not the epitome of animated films so far, nor does it try to be. Honestly it basically feels and looks like 5 episodes all put together, back to back. What The Simpsons Movie does, and really does well, is to return to the some of the series’ most stable and regular situations and themes while boosting it up just enough to give everything a new spark and level of excitement and suspense. In the film, Homer’s thoughtlessness and stupidity not only puts the rest of his family in danger, but it almost wipes Springfield off the map. Whilst Homer is causing a national blunder, he also manages to humiliate Bart when he challenges him to a dare. Causing Bart to go on a search for a more constant and loving father figure, and possibly finds one. But one of the more touching side stories involves the ever-loving Marge.
When she is suddenly forced to scrutinize her marriage to Homer, to see if anything there is worth salvaging. The film ends with one of the deepest examinations of the meaning of “I do”. And believe it or not, it does the last thing that you might expect The Simpsons to do; it leaves you with a lump in your throat.
I love The Simpsons, and I loved this film. It wasn’t spectacular; it doesn’t stay with you hours after you’ve seen it, or make you want to talk about it with everyone you bump into. But it was funny, touching and much like watching 5 episodes of The Simpsons, which is still better than the majority of films out at the moment.
Probably the most confusing title ever right there, but it does exactly as it says. The Boss has just moved into a new house but had to babysit, so infamous graffiti artist Neckface decided to show us around Andrew’s crib, yo.
The new series on the Active site, called Welcome Home, will feature pro skateboarders showing us round their homes. Apparently the next one will be with Erik Ellington, which is on its way.
