‘Better Than Life’ destroys Harrow!

Last night the brand new Death Skateboards video ‘Better Than Life‘ was served up on the best shit shovel you have ever witnessed.

Nicolson and the crew have edited and filmed another action packed full length thriller featuring the entire UK and overseas riders. Basically, this is going to blow you away as there’s some absolutely sick skateboarding in it from start to finish including every aspect of the whizzplanking shit we all lust for.

I’m not gonna ramble on about who did what as you will sure find out on December 3rd when you buy this from your local skate owned shop but what i will say is that Cates and Steak’s band were the worst in the world which made it the best gig of the year!

Beer was thrown everywhere, Horsey’s feet were cut open, Neil Smith is chief mosh surgeon and only Night Raids will spill the beans on the evidence once my hangover fucks off. Look out for a full gallery feature and Horsey interview in the next 2 days on this shitty web portal.

Don’t click here..

Matix – Platoon Field Jacket

If you are looking for a winter jacket to get you through this years cold spell you will be delighted to know that Matix are back in the hot seat with the Platoon Field Jacket!.

This army number comes ready to roll via zip control in hard wearing cotton canvas that seem to numb the elements and feel comfortable with it. The front bottom pockets are so deep you could shove a t-shirt in there if needed and the top left pocket has slit where you can easily thread your earphones through. This comes in very handy, as this Field Jacket has no inside pockets but to make up for that, it does have a dope, washed out bamboo and palm tree print that covers the soft inner lining.

There’s also a hidden gem in that once you slide your hands through the sleeves, you find that you have the option of expandable windcuffs that deflect the current and keep your hands shielded. Plus, the hood can be stashed if its not needed thanks to a neat zip.

Overall this is the best jacket to land here at Crossfire for review this winter. Kick start the cold season with one of these and keep your nuts warm.

Neckface Halloween show

The spooky night saw grim graffiti artist Neck Face open his show in New York at the Dactyl Foundation gallery.

Featuring some of his latest work, including animatronic bats and 10ft high statues, this show was really well attended by the likes of Braydon Szafranski, RB Umali, Todd Jordan, Jonathan Mehring, Tino Razo, and Epicly Laterd’s Patrick O’Dell. It seems that Neckface is quickly becoming the household name that Banksy is here, and the prices of his work proved it. Got $12,000 to drop on some art? You would have had to move quick because over half the works sold on the opening night.

A full slideshow of photos from the night can be found on Transworld

Finch reform

Something to warm your hearts on this frosty day… San Diego emo/screamo upstarts Finch have patched up their differences to reform, and are due to play their first show on Thanksgiving.

The band initially split in Feb 2006, just months after the release of their much anticipated but ultimately disappointing second album. Following the split frontman Nate Barcalow went on to form Cosmonaut, and brings bandmates Drew Margoliese and Daniel Wonacott on drums and bass respectively to the reunited Finch, replacing Marc Allen and Derek Doherty.

Speaking to Alternative Press Alex Linares assured fans that this wasn’t just a one off gig, and they’d be finch for ‘more than just one night!’. UK fans will have to wait and hope that Finch make it back over to our shores..
