The Download festival are releasing individual day tickets for the extravaganza at Donnington Park on June 9th, 10th and 11th, and in conjunction with this the festival has confirmed the return of the Snickers Bowl stage, which will join the Main Stage, Snickers Stage and the Gibson/Myspace.com Stage.
The cream of new rock talent has been lined up to play the Snickers Bowl Stage over the course of the 3 days and visitors to the bowl will be treated to sonic chaos from Gay For Johnny Depp, Sintuition, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, Get Amped, Streetlight Youth, Viking Skull, Betty Curse and Evergrey. Sounds like a party that can’t be missed!
This will be the third year in a row that Snickers have brought the Bowl to the Download festival and it is sure to be more popular than ever. The bowl itself is the size of an Olympic swimming pool, and twice the depth. This year, a new event will take place, the Snickers UK Friday, where the best and emerging talents in the UK in skateboarding and BMX will be able to ride in an invitation only jam.
On Saturday and Sunday of the festival, you’ll be able to watch in awe at the likes of Rune Glifber, Koji Kraft and Renton Millar. There’s even a special guest judge, with the Godfather of skate and the star of the Dogtown And The Z-Boys documentary, Tony Alva making an appearance.
