New footage of John Cardiel skating a pool in the US emerged via Spitfire’s instagram overnight that will no doubt warm the hearts of every skateboarder lucky enough to ever step on a board.
It’s been 11 years since Cards was accidentally run over in Australia whilst filming for the Tent City film. After being told by doctors he would never walk again due to a spinal cord injury sustained, John’s positivity through tough times finally allowed movement in his legs after a long spell in a wheelchair. He’s used cycling as a way to gain the use of his legs again, but this new footage shows he is back, and boy is the best feeling ever to see him so happy!
The sound of those tiles and coping being schralped and that smile says it all. All Hail Cardiel!

‘I’m Fuck, Punk You’
(Draaiorgel Remix)

Sometimes you see something in life that knocks you for six, stops you in your tracks and slaps you in the face like a wet fish. Today was one of those days as this played for just 40 seconds.
The thing is, it felt natural, felt like it was what my day needed. I was owed this Orgaanklap remix. It was meant to happen.
There’s no point in explaining it. Just play it, take it in and appreciate ‘I’m Fuck, Punk You’. Genius bastards!

Need some cut price threads at the end of the month? Welcome To Sample Sale returns to the Hoxton Galley on Kingsland Road in East London on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th March with a bunch of brands involved in the sale. Put it in your diary.

Brixton’s new Spring 2015 range has many treats but this Masterson shirt stuck out from the rest thanks to its fitted design. It looks hardy enough to take a slam or two with a 55% cotton/ 45% polyester denim mix and comes with two chest pockets, copper metal buttons and a custom Brixton woven label at pocket.
Simple, comfy and good enough for Jason Jessee. Nuff said.

Guy Mariano’s latest pro shoe on Lakai has been released this week. It’s a vulc number with plenty of design input to make this one of the best skate shoes out there. After all, it’s made by skateboarders, for skateboarders as all skate shoes should be. These come as a canvas/suede split unless you scout out the Fourstar collab reds that are canvas only and look ace.
I’ve had these on for a month now and skated in them loads. They are holding up perfectly, have plenty of support, comfy and strong. All you need in a skate shoe.
There’s no guarantee that your skating will be as hesh as Mariano’s as soon as you slip these on but support skater owned companies out there and vote with your feet this month if you need some new kicks.

Following last week’s Skate Pal edit, Sirus F Gahan has dropped another edit online this week from a mission to Palestine to help kids build a park and enjoy life through skateboarding.
This new edit features Harry Gerrard, Luke Murphy, Sam Dearden, Martin O’Grady and ‘impossibles in crocs’ ripper Yoni Ettinger, exploring the streets of Palestine and Israel on what looks like a rad trip. Great edit Sirus!

If you’ve ever been to this spot then you would know that this is no joke, especially as you have to ollie the wall up there. Oscar Candon‘s battle from Supra’s epic UK tour last year keeps giving.
