Abjekt in video extra scoop!

Crossfire is the place to come for all the hook ups. Not content with being the hip hop writer and radio host on the hip hop show here at Crossfire, Abjekt decided to pop up in a video for the new single by Rhymesayers-signed Doomtree member P.O.S.

The track, Bleeding Hearts Club, which features Slug of Atmosphere, is taken from P.O.S’ second album Audition and you can see our very own little scamp appear as the bell-hop in a few shots alongside a whole host of Minneapolis rappers [including most of Doomtree!].

Even if you can’t see him, this video is definitely Abjekt Approved and should be viewed again and again and again.

Aesop Rock album news

Def Jukie Aesop Rock recently updated his myspace blog to let everyone in on his upcoming album, which will be called None Shall Pass, and is due out in the first part of 2007.

The beats on the album will be produced by Blockhead [7 tracks], Aes himself [5], El-P and Rob Sonic [1 each] with DJ Big Wiz on the turntables throughout the record. Expect to hear from El-P, Cafe, Camutao, Breeze Brewin’, Rob Sonic and John Darnielle vocally in parts.

Lyrically, Aes has said that he feels like he actually wrote something because its “really visual shit” and that the tracks are all stories which represent “different time periods in one’s life”. Regardless, it’s Aesop Rock, so we’re all gonna check it out now aren’t we?

Gunther, age 16

A European photographer that we rate very highly here at Crossfire is Eric-Antoine. You might have noticed several of his stunning shots that we poach for the Moooves.

Anyway, Eric is hosting his Gunther 16ans photography exhibition from 15th December to 15th January at the Stimultania art gallery, 33 Rue de Kageneck in Strasbourg. This is definitely worth checking out.
