New Mad Caddies album in the works

Mad Caddies have entered the studio to work on their upcoming album.

Whilst in the studio, the band made a video of updates, which you can see by clicking here. The band released their last full length in 2003 with Just One More. With regards to the new record, they said this:

“As the studio is a few blocks away from my house, I have been able to go to the studio a lot as they were recording. The recording process was in typical Caddies fashion – I like to think of it as controlled chaos.

All tracks are recorded and Thom Flowers is finishing the mixing tonight. This is truly the best Caddies album I have heard to date- with great songwriting, lyrics and all that. My only wish is that it didn’t take so long to release a CD. It will be a good spring record though.”

Hammersmith Palais loses battle

Hammersmith Palais is to be demolished it has been announced.

Despite campaigns and petitions to save the building by getting it listed, Fulham and Hammersmith Council have approved property developers plans to knock the venue down to make it a restaurant and office block.

Fulham and Hammersmith councillor Lucy Ibimy said:

“We recognise the contribution the Palais has made to the west London music scene, but the golden days of the club are long gone.”

We’re gutted here at Crossfire, as we’d been to many a good show at the Palais. Sad faces all round.
