Fully patient..?

Does anyone remember an old advert with a small picture of a kid turning blue in the face? The slogan said “If you’re holding your breath waiting for (…) Guy Mariano (…) to finish filming the ***** video…

Relax. Because these guys are probably going to be filming until you look like this.” Ha!

That wasn’t a Lakai ad, but it sure could be one because rumours are now circulating about a June 2007 release for Fully Flared!Allegedly, the Opus editor Ty Evans made a rough edit of the finished film and it clocked in at 2 hours long! Why don’t they just contact HBO and make this into a TV series? The suspense is killing us…

Coda cross the Atlantic

The East Coast underground company, Coda Skateboards, has taken to the high seas sending their riders far and wide in search of insane terrain.

Pat Smith and Conor Fay (c.f BS Smith ph. Tim Stanton) are off to Spain and Portugal, whilst Jerry Mraz and Dave Michael kick it over to Florida. Speaking of Florida, here is some footage of a recent Coda trip down South.

Lakai at Detroit Motor Show

Any good skater will tell you that travel is an essential part to the skateboard lifestyle. So when you’re seasoned veteran and pushing the boundaries of skate terrain, you had better be sitting pretty.

At the Detroit Motor Show this month, Honda unveiled their new line of Scion cars to the public, and if you look carefully you might notice the Lakai people carrier.

Now, can Crossfire claim anything on these guys..?

Death updates

This news is a little old, but the holiday season has a tendency to delay things like anyone traveling through London airports will know… Meanwhile Kev is now spinning Death Urethane, whilst the Death website has been updated with team profiles for Dave Allen, Boots and Zarosh.

On a side note, Kevin McKeon is also one of the elite members of the Crossfire Clothing team. More about that when our new Crossfire site launches this year.

Xmas Jam gets props

Following the carnage of this years Crossfire Xmas Jam, the event has managed to attract a 2 page feature with sequences from head photographer Sam Ashley in Document Magazine. This new issue also has an in depth interview with Death skater Dan Cates, a Blueprint feature in the South of France and time with Ben Grove amongst other stuff.

Sidewalk Magazine went further with a whopping 6 page feature with sequences from Dom Marley and Leo Sharpe and a full write up from Andy Evans who was lurking behind the lens as usual.

The January issue also has a strong Leo Smith interview, coverage of Deathrace 06 and Boardroom Xmas Jam write ups and a Heathen trip to Europe we mentioned back in November.
