Not that type of girl website, you sicko, put it away.

Girl Skateboards have updated their site and overhauled it a lot, more than likely to help cope with Crailtap’s constant strain of people asking when the Lakai video is out.

Anyway, kickflip frontside crook like Koston onto www.girlskateboards.com

What to do when it rains

Monday morning, it pisses it down so hard that you think the raindrops will smash the windows, but they don’t because you forgot to close the window last night so that side of the bed feels like wet dog.

What should you do to cheer yourself up? Go skateboarding in the rain, just like Mark Gonzales

Nike 6.0 Media Apprentice Winner

After much deliberating, the winner of the Nike 6.0 media apprenticeship competition was announced as Josh Knox from London. Josh won through the hundreds of other entrants to bag himself the first prize of placement on the team.

Judges Chris Moran, Andrew Horsley, Will Smyth and Alex Wade all commented on his smooth camera work and strong story lines running through the film clips, with his sharp photography capturing action moments beautifully.

Throughout his placement year with Nike 6.0, Josh will work alongside some of the action sports industries top professionals. From photographers, film makers and athletes, to magazine editors and publishing houses – including companies like Extreme TV, Permenant Publishing and Factory Media. He will also receive exclusive training and top of the range equipment from Adobe – official partners of the scheme.

He will experience live photo shoots, attending some of the best action sports in the world and documenting the 6.0 teams exploits.

Josh, 18, said, “This is a really good opportunity to improve my skills as a filmmaker and photographer and have the opportunity to work with some of the best riders in Britain. I want to progress in the film and photography arena as I want to show people the passion these athletes have for their sport. I also want to learn more on the post production side so I can make my editing outstanding.”

Supermodels and Skateboarders

Not sure what the idea behind this Sunday Times fashion photoshoot was, but maybe to make supermodels look even hotter by putting them next to sweaty, smelly skateboarders.

Ari Marcopolous filmed this behind the scene look at the shoot, which made me laugh as it’s always funny seeing girls genuinely shocked that you don’t die if you fall over on your board.
