Everything is ready for Globe and Thrasher’s Slaughter at the Opera House competition tomorrow, and you can watch the while thing live over at www.globe.tv/slaughter/webcast from 7pm (PST), whatever time that is over here.

The comp will see the likes of Chris Haslam, Andrew Reynolds, Greg Lutzka, Adam Dyet, Paul Rodriguez, Stefan Janoski, Rick McCrank, Erik Ellington, Nick Dompierre, Eric Koston, Mark Appleyard and a shedload more battle it out for $50,000 on a 7-stair to 11-stair rail outside the Sydney Operahouse. Sounds like a computer game but it’s actually happening, so tune in.

Dekline have added another rider to their ever-expanding team, just a few days after nabbing Olly Todd and putting him into some new shoes.

This time it’s Adam Dyet who’ll be joining the likes of Patrick Melcher, Soy Panday, Shiloh Greathouse, Jason Adams and Zarosh.

Emerica have announced a new collaboration shoe with Toy Machine Skateboards.

The new Ed Templeton Transist Hi is out this month and comes with your favourite Transistor Sect images, stick that in your blood sucking mouth and eat it.

If you haven’t seen the footage from the Lord of the Lines comp, run by Matix, then you definitely should.

A new concept for comps where riders have 10mins to come up with their best 3-trick line on various size blocks, this comp’s emphasis was on consistency and creativeness. With riders at the event including Torey Pudwill, who came away with the top prize of $10,000, Enrique Lorenzo, Joey Brezinski, Billy Marks, Danny Montoya, Bobby Worrest and loads more, this should be a permanent fixture every year.

‘Ave it Bakers Complete!

Zero Skateboards are currently working on their new video “Strange World” right now. By all accounts the film should be another absolute banger fuelled by the next invasion of upstarts.

This short video interview with Lakai cameraman Ty Evans on has confirmed that Chomp On This 2 is underway and should be available for free.

No word on who is in it yet, but Ty does chat pretty openly about film premieres and the hardships of filming. It’s a good watch, so do it.

Nike certainly do have a lot of technology behind them to help the development of their designs, in the quest to make the perfect skateboard shoe.

With vulcanised sole shoes leading the market at the moment, Nike have created a new sole for their Zoom Tre series that will supposedly rival the skaters favourite right now. Check this video, featuring slo-mo footage and lab test stuff to see the evidence.

However, it seems that whatever sole is better for comfort, vulcs make you do much more tweaked kickflips. Fact.

Pioneer Skatepark in St. Albans have decided to throw a skate jam to raise money to keep the skatepark open.Lids are compulsory but your £7 entry means that this legendary spot that Creme rider Rodney Clark puts a lot of time into will stay open. Get down there on 15th March from 12pm-6pm.

Skegness may have a lovely seashore but it’s likely to be blown up on April 12th and 13th when the new Plaza opens.

A visit from Vans UK team riders and a pro jam with £1000 up for grabs should fuel the fire on the day for this Seaside Showdown, and rumours of a concrete park opening 10 miles down the road the same weekend could well make this trip an absolute must.
