A show featuring the art of Dean (Bod) Brodrick (RIP) will be running up in Middlesbrough this month from the 15th-18th February. Put together by close friends the art show will run at the Pop Up Gallery at 148 Linthorpe Rd, TS1 3RA and feature Bod’s deck graphics, videos, t-shirt designs and will also pay homage to Mischief Skate Shop and Bingo (RIP).
This is a truly wonderful thing to do to honour the lives of skateboarders who have contributed much to their local scenes. The gallery will be open daily from 10am-5pm and there will be a closing party from 7pm-10pm on Saturday 18th. Please spread the word if you are local.
New t-shirts are doing the rounds this week from Cats and Triangles. A new video edit has surfaced featuring some of the skaters that are wearing these tees that includes Joe Paget, Dom Henry, Jason Lewer, Jason Cloete and more. Look out for their new range of tees online at their Bigcartel site and find updates on this blog.
Tees are also available from February 7th from the Simple skate store in Sheffield.
Baker Skateboards have a great new deck series printed called the Cursed series based on sculptured fugurines of the team riders for their pro models. The work of Jack Tarlington is explained in an interview over at Skateboarding Australia You can see each individual rider’s sculpture in photos at the Baker blog too.
The new Bridges skatepark in Belfast gets rinsed again, this time by Conhuir Lynn thanks to the Boggin boys.

The full length comes in at 40 minutes and features skating from Lamare Hemmings, Cyril Jackson, Lalo Trejo, Graham Harrington, Val Arkenstone, Casey Morrissey, Tislam Smith, Tony Karr and Stevie Perez.
