When Crossfire started as a back pocket A6 paper zine 12 years ago, we had no idea what it was going to lead to but looking back it was worth every paper cut, staple in the fingertip and ink all over our hands making them one by one.
A new ‘photo zine’ has launched this week focusing on the Nottingham skate scene called VARIAL. Issue 1 features shots from 16 different photographers and will be available for free in several Nottingham venues. Readers will be encouraged to get involved, submit photos and be potential future contributors.
The first issue will be strictly limited edition so be sure to follow the Facebook page for Varial to find out when you can pick up a copy. Right now the zine is available from Forty Two, Flo Skatepark, Element Nottingham, Non-Stop & Spanky Van Dyke’s. There will also be some copies available via local company Iron Column Skateboards.
