GX1000: San Francisco Is Grate
The latest GX1000 edit from Thrasher is a peach. Hours of fun.
We’ve seen art shows, pro signings, and bands playing at skate shops over the years, but Skate Yoga classes are now being rolled out by a fairly new skate shop that has opened in Stoke Newington, East London called Tom’s. There’s nothing like a stretch before a shred, whatever age you may be, but you decide whether this new middle-class past-time at your local skate shop is for you in this new clip filmed by Huck today.
Watching Nicky Howells skate anything is usually a pleasure so yo will be stoked on this full new section from Kill City’s new ‘Overdose‘ video today as it’s got the lot- even Elton John.
A statement was released last night from the owners of Flo Skatepark in Nottingham stating that they are to close their doors due to lack of support and too much competition from outdoor, public skateparks.
“Unfortunately as of today Flo Skatepark is no longer trading, the gates will be closed as of today. In part this is due to increasing competition from outdoor parks and also a lack of support from our local community. Flo Skateparks thanks our regular customers and we are disappointed that it has come to this.”
It’s tragic to hear such news. We send our thoughts to everyone who has put so much effort into building and keeping the park open. They cost a fortune to run wherever they are based in the UK. Support your local park weekly or risk hearing more announcements like this.
In related news, Freestyle skateparks are still in the frame to build a new outdoor park in Nottingham, which is said to be still in planning status. The designs from the original plan has been changed and new imagery will be online soon.

As he reaches the grand old age of 26 this June 6th, Andrew Reynolds is still bossing is out there and still has the best frontside flip in the game.
Following the battle of the Hollywood High 16 set last month, (watch it here) Greco’s House of hammers has pieced together a new edit featuring footage of Reynolds throughout the years, paying homage to one of the greats and inducting him into their Hall of Fame.
