He doesn’t do interviews every month but Mark Gonzales has been sharing some words with Robert Brink over at a site called Be-Street this week, revealing some interesting memoirs and observations.
Head over there to hear his thoughts on his favourite era of deck shapes, looking back to stories with Lance Mountain, his dislike of H-Street back in the day, board and truck innovation, artwork and appreciating life:
“Well, sometimes I gotta learn how to appreciate the people that support me and the people I have around me. You gotta learn to tell them you love them and thank them for helping you because no person can succeed without the people that believe in them or help them.”

As a skateboarder who is currently injured and needed instant NHS assistance recently from a seriously painful slam, I’m totally behind junior doctors if they feel they need support, 100%.
Our country doesn’t need demoralised and exhausted doctors, those on the front line need help and backing all week, all weekend, every month, all year. They give everything they have to those in need that no Tory government official could possibly even think of offering, and that is compassion – ready to embrace anyone, without prejudice. True heroes.
If you skate in England tonight and need emergency assistance, be aware that 78% of junior doctors are not there for you for a damn good reason but someone has to fight for the cause.
Thanks to all those wonderful people who help us when we go down.

Love Park is sadly now history and knowing DGK’s brand’s legacy was built on the iconic spot in Philadelphia, it feels right for them to release some exclusive decks and tees right now with Blabac’s iconic photography. Look out for them in your local shop soon.
