The good dudes over at Juice sent us this today so get hyped on a new documentary, Made In Venice that will be heading to the UK at some point once the US premieres are aired.
Venice Beach and skateboarding need no introduction. The scene started there in California with the Dogtown crew and has graced every country since. It took years though for this area to have its own skatepark and the story of this docu takes you back in time throughout that history to present times with the story of legendary Venice local, Jesse Martinez who transformed the scene today by sheer graft to get a park for the Venice locals. Essentially, this is going to be a very inspiring piece of film about how skateboarders can work together through many struggles, to bring joy to the next generation, so expect a gritty ride from one of the most hardened out there.
All sorts of names from the scene are involved from Christian Hosoi and C.R. Stecyk III to Skip Engblom, the late Jay Adams, Jeff Ho, Aaron Murray, Scott Oster, Jim Muir from Suicidal Tendencies and loads more.
Literally cannot wait to see this, enjoy the trailer and await further screening news.
