Boss Tuneage Records are set to reissue 6 classic records from The Stupids this summer and the band are rumoured to reform for some one off shows. The Stupids injected fun into UK hardcore in the 80’s with their fast as fuck skate punk and inspired a generation after them.
The CD’s include Violent Nun, Peruvian Vacation, Retard Picnic, Van Stupid, Jesus Meets The Stupids and Frankfurter plus the Complete Peel Sessions and a bunch of unreleased tracks that never saw the light of day.
Purists will also be happy to know that the complete collection will come with a full booklet, photos and interviews from all band members in a booklet with over 8000 words and limited edition vinyl will also be available. Pre order the re-issues here.
Masters of the epic indie rock tune Longwave fly over to the UK from their native New York next week for a short series of live dates.
Their as-yet-untitled forthcoming album is set to be a stunner and the band will be showcasing material from the record on these dates.

Mark Ronson has confirmed he is producing the new Kaiser Chiefs album.
The producer claimed, tongue-in-cheek, that he tried to get his trademark horns on the album but was told it wasn’t an option. Regarding the new album’s sound, he said it was similiar to the “urgency” of Employment, continuing:
“‘Employment‘ is one of my favourite records of the last ten years. There’s that excitement of getting to work on something you’re such a fan of already…Each one of them in any other band would be the funniest member of that band. It’s almost like The Beatles – that razor sharp wit. Sometimes when I’m in the room recording I feel like I’ve won a competition to be the sixth Kaiser Chief.”
