Head Automatic Pop Back

Head Automatica, the brainchild of Daryl Palumbo, have a new song up on their myspace site for fans to check out.

The song, Scandalous, is a track taken from their upcoming Popaganda which will be produced by Howard Benson instead of Dan The Automator who was on the producto for their first album.

Peeping Patton!

Mike Patton’s new project, Peeping Tom, has just finished filming a video for Mojo. The video will include appearances from Dan The Automator, Rahzel, Danny DeVito, Rachel Hunter and Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus.

They have also confirmed the live line up for the performance on Conan O’Brien in the States – Patton will be alongside a supergroup of Dan The Automator, Rahzel, Miho Hatori [Cibo Matto], Dub Trio and Rob Swift – Sounds like it’s going to be an absolutely banging performance. The album, entitled, originally enough, Peeping Tom, is due out on May 30th.

DJ Shadow UK Tour

DJ Shadow has announced his set of UK dates in support of his upcoming album The Outsider. The album, which comes four years after The Private Press, is due out on August 25th. Shadow will play festival dates too, with 2 Wireless shows and an appearance at Creamfields, where he will be performing with Turf Talk and Keak Da Sneak.

Remix A Korn Single

Korn are giving their fans in Europe the chance to remix their upcoming single Coming Undone, released on June 12th. The group have struck a deal with MTV and www.ACIDplanet.com for this remix and fans can access the competition via the following MTV websites:

New DangerDoom!

Dangermouse is the man of the minute right now, blazing the charts with Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy, but he’s not about to stop now. He was the beatsmith behind one of the best albums of 2005, Dangerdoom’s The Mouse And The Mask and he’s back with MF Doom for the Dangerdoom EP. What’s more, this EP is going to be put up online and will be absolutely free.

The EP is going to be put up track by track and the first of these tracks, Korn Dogs, is up now and can be downloaded from here. The rest of the EP, all nine tracks of it, will be thrown out over the next 2 weeks and the whole thing will be available on May 30th, with Madlib springing up on it.

Nick Olivieri Hits Town

Former Queens Of The Stone Age and Kyuss bassist Nick Olivieri is bringing his new group Mondo Generator, over to the UK, in support of their debut album which is due out towards the end of 2006. The new Mondo Generator line up will be Olivieri, Ben Perrier on guitars and Ben Thomas on drums, from Winnebago Deal.

Now being called Nick Olivieri and his Mondo Generator, the band’s debut album will be called Sonic Slow Motion Trails, was recorded mostly in Dave Grohl’s LA studio and is slated for a September release. The live dates are:
