Crazy Titch sent down for 30 years

Grime rapper Crazy Titch, who blew up last year with Singalong, has been found guilty of murder and has been given a 30 year jail sentence. The Londoner murdered producer Richard Holmes after he had worked with 16 year old Sabar Shah.

Shah had put out a diss record against Durrty Goodz, Titch’s half-brother, and Titch and Anthony Green killed the producer as a result of what’s been called “mis-placed loyalty”.

The Game sued by police

Rapper The Game is being sued by 5 police officers in a defamation suit. The rapper was arrested last year when the police were called as he was causing “a public disturbance” wearing a Halloween mask and cursing.

According to reports, when the police, he made no attempt to calm down and his entourage surrounded the police in a threatening manner. He was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

The lawsuit brought the officers is due to his comments on TV comparing his treatment to that of Rodney King and claimed he was arrested for signing autographs. The police claimed that they were libelled, slandered and had their images misappropriated and are currently after over $10,000 in damages.

Dead body at Eminem’s video shoot

Akon, who was filming a video for a track with Eminem, has said a dead body was found at the derelict hotel in LA where the video was being shot. Akon said that the hotel had a spooky vibe and said that he think it is haunted stating:

“Man, that whole weekend was just dark, but the results were incredible. A dead body was found on the floor under us the next day. A real dead body. I was like, ‘wow!’ It was mad that we were right above that body just wiling out, just ‘smackin’, that’s crazy!”

Snowbombing act announced

Snowbombing have released the first set of acts for their 2007 line up.

So far The Young Knives, Sunshine Underground, Rumblestrips, Kitty Daisy and Lewis, The Cuban Brothers and Kid Carpet have been added to play. DJs on the bill so far include Scratch Perverts, Soul Of Man, Annie Mac, Evil Nine, Rob Da Bank and more.

The event will take place between 9th and 15th of April in Mayrhofen in Austria next year and you can check the website below for more details.

New Suicide Bid album

A year after their debut release, This Is The Generation, Suicide Bid are back, with a new album The Rot Stops Here, which is out on November 6th. The collective will include the likes of The Filaments, Sonic Boom 6, Ex-Cathedra, The Foamers, Black Radio, The King Blues, Inner Terrestrials, P.A.I.N., Deathskulls and The Ambition.

Sharkey & C Rayz team up

Sharkey and C Rayz Walz have collaborated on a new album – Monster Maker and it is due to drop in early 2007. Producer Sharkey commented on the album, saying it’s about the fact that everyone has that point where they just break down and let loose:

“Everyone has those moments where they feel like they can cross the line, everyone has that seed in them where they’re capable of doing something monster shit.”

Rapper C Rayz Walz has said that Sharkey is the best producer he’s ever worked with and that they’ve “made a monster and now he’s here to bite everybody’s fuckin’ head off.”

Tom Delonge hates pop!

Former Blink 182 frontman and current singer for Angels & Airwaves, Tom Delonge, has blasted his former band with a video on youtube. There were a few rumours floating around as to why they had gone on “indefinitely hiatus” last year, but Tom has straightened it all out by saying:

“I do not want to be in a bullshit pop band with some bullshit pop songs while you drive your fucking bullshit car and sing along to it like you’re some 14 year-old girl.”

No more songs about bumsex with dogs then.

Sway wins US award

London rapper and general awesome fella Sway is to pick up the best UK Hip Hop gong at the US TV network Black Entertainment Television’s awards.

The ceremony will take place in Atlanta after Sway won thanks to being voted for as the winner by viewers of MTV Base and listeners of BBC 1Xtra. Following the news, he said:

“I’m over the moon. It’s a massive opportunity for me and hip-hop in the UK in general. I’m going to capitalise on it as much as I can. Stickers are going on every new CD I do.”
