Bjork and The Sugarcubes got back together for one night only last week in Laugardalsholl, Reykjavik.
It was the first time the band had played together in 14 years and marked the 20th anniversary of the record label Smekkleysa SM and their first single Birthday.

Reports are that Jimmy Eat World will reissue their first two albums – Static Prevails [1996] and Clarity [1998].
Each album will feature unreleased material and rare tracks chosen by the band themselves. Clarity will include a demo of Sweetness and Christmas Card from their split 7″ with Blueprint.
Static Prevails featuring a cover of the Wedding Present’s Spangle amongst other things.
The band are still working on their 5th studio album.
Former Nirvana bassist Kris Novoselic has apparently being snapped up by San Francisco’s Flipper.
It marks a return to music for the bass player who had put his music career on the back burner whilst he concentrated on politics in Washington state.
The Kerrang! Tour for 2007 has had its line up announced – Biffy Clyro, The Bronx, The Audition and I Am Ghost will be filling the slots at the following places:

The original Bad Brains line up of HR, Dr Know, Darryl Jenifer and Earl Hudson have been kickstarted by kicking off the final week of gigs at CBGBs. Dr Know told Billboard.com – “It was really an honor and a privilege to have so many good friends and see them all. We were back together for a week; we hadn’t been together for a long time.”
The group look set to finally release the long-time-coming studio album which is produced by Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys. The bassist said it will be a fast tempo record and includes tracks titles like It’s All Rock’n’Roll, Article, Kingdom Come and Let There Be Light.
In addition to this, Dr Know is hoping to start work on his solo album this winter saying quite a few people wanted to be on it, including Flea and Mos Def.
Ninja Tune are putting on 3 gigs on the same night – Saturday November 25th – in association with The Big Chill House as part of the first ever You Don’t Know club night.
Mr Scruff is to play The Forum, Herbaliser will be at Cargo with Fingathing and The Big Chill House will host Zero DB, Pase Rock, XXXchange, Pop Levi, a Bonobo DJ set, the UK debut of Flying Lotus and more, for free!
Another band to announce UK dates in 2007 are Jet, who will play 7 gigs on their European tour on these shores. Some of the dates replace those cancelled by the band last month due to Nic Cester’s health. The tickets for the tour go on sale this week and their new single Bring It On Back is out on Monday 20th.
