Buck 65 will be releasing his new album on Strange Famous Records.

Sage Francis’ label will be putting out Situation on October 30th and have put some preview tracks up on their website. Of the artist, Sage said:

“Exactly ten years ago I was handed a Buck 65 cassette tape that forever changed the way I approach my own music. There aren’t too many people who have been that influential or inspirational to me, so I’m elated to be releasing Buck 65’s new “Situation” album on Strange Famous Records.”

RZA has put to rest rumours around Ghostface’s involvement on the upcoming crew album.

Reports were saying that Ghostface wouldn’t be on the new record, but RZA denied that saying “everybody is poppin’ on this. It’s scheduled for an October 23 release”.

He also confirmed there would be a track on the album called You Better Watch Your Muthafuckin’ Mouth and continued by saying the new Raekwon solo album, Only Built For Cuban Linx II was “fire”.

Thrice have posted a trailer for their new release.

The band will release The Alchemy Index on a label that they say they are “close” to finding and have already finished the mastering and artwork for the album. Peep the trailer below:

Household Name Records have announced a new band on their roster.

Following the split of Satanic Surfers, ex-members Fredrik and Rodrigo have become Enemy Alliance. The band play “straight up melodic punk/hardcore” and are completed by Daniel from Venerea, Flygare and Stefan.

Rodrigo said of the band:

“Musically the band stands were Satanic Surfers left off, but with a bit more hardcore oriented feel to it. However, the fresh start (is) allowing the members to throw in a lot more of their various musical influences will soon become clear to the listeners.”

The band have recorded 6 tracks which will be on their upcoming split with The Indecision Alarm.

Kano has announced the dates of his UK tour.

The rapper, who will release new single This Is The Girl on August 27th, will begin in Sheffield on September 26th. The album, London Town, will follow the single though there is no release date as yet. The tour dates are:

Cat Power is set to release a second covers album.

The signer posted the details on her myspace, confirming she will be following up her 2000 cover album The Covers Record. She said that the new record is due to come out in January 2008 and will be called Covers Record 2. Let’s hope she chooses Informer by Snow as one of them.

Evan Dando will join up with The Jesus And Mary Chain for a one off gig next month.

The band will be playing Brixton Academy on September 7th and have confirmed that the Lemonheads singer will be the support for the evening where he will play an acoustic set. Dando said of the show:

“I can’t wait – it’s a real thrill for me to play with one of my favourite bands, its going to be a ‘kin great night.”
