October 11 will mark the 3rd annual Peel Day.
The legacy of the great man will be celebrated by BBC Radio 1 and will feature a day of John Peel inspired gigs and events, with Zane Lowe last night encouraging listeners to get involved in whichever way they can.
The celebration takes place as part of the Electric Proms with Siouxsie Sioux, Agaskodo Teliverek and Radio Luxembourg on October 24.www.bbc.co.uk/radio1

Eminem is to release a new album it has been revealed.
The bleach-blonde rapper revealed the news when he called Hot 97 radio station during an interview with 50 Cent. He apparently said:
“I’m always working – I’m always in the studio. It feels good right now, the energy of the label. For a while, I didn’t want to go back to the studio… I went through some personal things. I’m coming out of those personal things [and] it feels good.”
It’s a pleasure to introduce Tijuana Knife Fight to Crossfire who are five dudes living in the greater Los Angeles area, crafting a hard, heavy and loud rendition of good ole’ fashioned Rock n’ Roll.
