Arctic Monkeys will be playing their biggest tour in the UK yet.
The Sheffield band will follow up their gig at Manchester’s Old Trafford cricket ground this past summer by playing the following dates in December:

14th & 15th – Aberdeen AECC
Anti-Flag are back in the studio to begin working on their next full length album.
The band are working with Tony Visconti, saying that he was helping them make the record sound as live and energetic as possible. They went on to say that they were trying to challenge themselves and “anyone who has any preconceived notion of what Anti-Flag means, believes in, stands for and sounds like.”
Meanwhile the band will be releasing an EP on October 2nd, with the proceeds going to The Center for Victims of Violence and Crime.
Vaux have recorded 5 songs for their final EP.
The Denver based band have called it quits this summer but wanted to put out an EP to give them the perfect send off. The band recently blogged on their MySpace about the EP, saying it is on it’s way and everyone should be patient.

Razorlight’s Johnny Borrell is moaning again.
This time the frontman has slagged off his label Universal for their lack of promotion in the States. He went on to say that the label showed “no effort whatsoever. It’s been very frustrating”.
Crossfire want to send a message out to Johnny to say that he shouldn’t worry about the label – it’s the fact that his band are shit that is holding the fame back.
Dave Grohl has spoken out about his contribution to Nirvana.
The Foo Fighters frontman insisted that all three members had an impact of Nirvana’s sound, not just Kurt Cobain. Speaking on the issue, he said:
“I was actually Nirvana’s fifth drummer and if you listen to the recordings with the previous guys you will notice it sounds different…Krist Novoselic and I have been called sidemen to Kurt for fucking years – that lawsuit is done with, y’know?
I started playing in bands as a teenager, not a career option, but as a way to find weed and not have to work. When Nirvana became popular it was unexpected – no one thought that would happen to our band.”
Mindless Self Indulgence will be releasnig a new version of their last album.
The new version of You’ll Rebel To Anything will be remastered and will feature 4 bonus tracks and a video for the track Molly. The release date is set at November 5th and the and the band will be touring the UK in October.

The bands are reportedly planning to have a two song release ready for the end of the year to be released by Hydra Head. In related news, These Arms Are Snakes are to cover Heart Shaped Box for a tribute to Nirvana’s In Utero being put together by Robotic Empire.
A new Jimi Hendrix DVD is set to hit the shops.
Jimi Hendrix Experience: Live At Monterey will be issued as a DVD on October 29 showcasing his legendary performance at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967. The special edition DVD features all of the existing film footage from the concert, newly transferred from the original 16mm camera reversal original.
In addition, the Definitive Edition DVD will include bonus features including a documentary and a chance for viewers to watch his Monterey concert from different camera angles.
