RIP Paul Fox

Paul Fox of The Ruts has passed away.

The guitarist had been diagnosed with cancer but recently played a show with a Henry Rollins-led Ruts which was a fitting tribute to the man himself. Fox’s influence was clear as the line up for the show featured The Damned, Misty in Roots, the UK Subs, Tom Robinson, John Otway, Splodge, TV Smith and many more.

The unsung guitar hero died at his home in Uxbridge at 3am and leaves behind 2 songs and his wife Sharon.

He’s a legend and huge favourite of all at Crossfire, so our wishes go out to his family. R.I.P.

Radiohead to tour in 2008

Following all the hoo-ha about their new album, Radiohead have announced they will be playing live dates next year.

Their manager, Bryce Edge, revealed that the band will be playing from May onwards with “lots of holidays”. He went on to say that they are trying to schedule a tour which will take in North America and the rest of the world which works for the band. He finished by saying Thom Yorke isn’t a fan of going on tour:

“He likes to do shows, but the whole business of schlepping round the world is not top of his favourite things to do,” he said. “It’s the process of how to do that which is the pain in the neck. They’re not road dogs. They never have been.”
